JOIN US AS A RESCUE MEMBER
Are you a home run/small reptile rescue that believes in welfare first and running your rescue responsibly?
Then feel free to contact us for more details and join other independent reptile rescues around the UK that are wanting to see improvments in welfare, running a rescue responsibly and setting themselves apart from scammers/flippers and profteers.
Before contacting us please see below what we expect from rescue members to be part of our growing network and overall mission .
What to expect when you join the CRRN
Below is some of the key factors we ask of rescues when they join the CRRN, if your rescue and ethos aligns with ours or you want support to improve your rescue then the CRRN could be the place for you.

Welfare First
This means your enclosures are suitable, your husbandry is meeting all the requirements of the reptiles needs.
Aiming for the reptile to thrive not just survive.

Registered with an exotic vet
Bare minimum we require you to be registered to an exotic vet and will require the name of the vet and practice.

Welfare Self Assessment
We will ask you to carry out a welfare self assessment, this gives you a chance to give us an honest view of your rescue and see where you align with one of our welfare benchmarks.

Open To Welfare Checks by our Welfare Team
Following on from your self assessment and after a settling in period, each one of our rescues are subject to ongoing welfare checks.
This is not to be feared but just ensures your rescue meets the benchmark level assigned to you and ensures us and the public that the reptiles are well cared for.

Honesty/Transparency
This network is built on honesty and transparency.
We aim to change the publics perception of independent rescues and the above is what sets us apart from many scammers and flippers on the internet and particularly social media.
if your aim is to make money from the reptiles you take in, with welfare not your priority then this network is not for you.

Responsibilty
Rescues should be a place where responsibilty is a key factor.
We ask our rescues to run their rescues the right way, this means capacity limits, species limits and financial limits.
Being responsible means welfare is maintained and your rescue is sustainable.
